1. Sankalp (Resolution):

2. Gauri Ganesh Kalash Sthapana (Establishing the Kalash):
The holy Kalash (pot) is set up, invoking Lord Ganesha and Goddess Durga, which becomes the energy center of the entire puja.
3. Atma Shuddhi and Punyahavachan:
The environment and the mind-body of the devotee are purified with mantras and sprinkling of holy water.
4. Prathama Charitra (Chapter 1-3) Path:
