Description : Pitr Shanti Puja is a sacred Vedic ritual performed to offer peace and liberation (moksha) to one’s departed ancestors or forefathers (Pitra). According to Sanatan Dharma, unsatisfied or unliberated souls of our ancestors can cause Pitra Dosha, leading to repeated obstacles, emotional unrest, financial stagnancy, delayed marriage, or recurring health issues in the family.
This puja includes Shraddh, Tarpan, Pind Daan, and Pitr Gayatri mantra chanting under the guidance of qualified Pandits. It is especially recommended during Pitru Paksha, Amavasya, Mahalaya, or upon experiencing signs of ancestral unrest in one's life or horoscope.

According to the Garuda Purana and Manusmriti, offering Shradh and Pind Daan to ancestors ensures their peaceful journey in the afterlife and frees them from lingering karmic attachments.
The term “Shradh” is derived from Shraddha—meaning faith and devotion. It is believed that when ancestors are satisfied through proper rituals, they bless the family with protection, prosperity, and harmony. Conversely, neglecting ancestral duties may result in Pitru Dosha, leading to repeated obstacles, delays, or instability in life.
The ritual emphasizes that honoring one’s forefathers is not merely tradition but a sacred dharma.
In Sanatan Dharma, ancestors are regarded as guiding forces who continue to influence family destiny even after physical departure. Pitr Shanti Puja reflects the belief that karmic balance between generations is essential for spiritual and material progress.
